Hi. I'm Ally and I'm a mother.

And I want to take this mothering thing seriously. I don't have all the answers - I don't know all the questions - but I believe that there ARE answers. That there is a "plumb," a perfect balance, an optimal way to go about guiding and nurturing a child from zygote to adult. And, through research, prayer, discernment, reflection and lots of trial and error, I intend to find it. I don't expect to be able to adhere to it always, and I know that we're distorted people living in a disfigured world and sometimes there is no excellent solution - but I want to move in the right direction. This blog will be a journal of thoughts on parenting philosophy and pregnancy/birth/babycare/other mothercraft tips that I've gathered (expect a lot of babywearing!). Join me, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
